Blizzcon 2023 Highlights & Recap
Blizzcon has come to an end and we here at A New Dawn has a lot to look forward to in the coming year. If you missed Blizzcon or just want a recap of what is going on we will be covering a little bit of everything in this post and more in depth posts for each game linked below as well.
We learned about World of Warcraft: The Worldsoul Saga and the next 3 expansions: The War Within, Midnight, and The Last Titan. Classic is also coming out with a new way to play Hardcore, Season of Discovery, and Cataclysm Classic. Diablo IV announced a new expansion, Overwatch 2 has the Mauga Tank Hero coming, and Warcraft Rumble is live!
World of Warcraft - What's Next
World of Warcraft's next Chapter
There is a lot to look forward to as a World of Warcraft player when it comes to the retail version of the game as not only has the next expansion been revealed but the two expansions coming after The War Within has also been revealed as part of the Worldsoul Saga.
- The War Within - Delve into the Heart of Azeroth. Engage with the Earthen and Nerubians. 2024 release
- Midnight - Return to Quel'thalas, Make a stand with the forces of the light to banish the shadow of the Void from Azeroth
- The Last Titan - Witness the return of Titans to Azeroth at Ulduar in Northrend
World of Warcraft Classic
World of Warcraft Classic is also continuing the storyline, with Cataclysm being revealed as the next expansion in the Classic line of expansions.
At Blizzcon, was also revealed changes coming to Hardcore as well as a new game mode called Season of Discovery.
Season of Discovery will have a Level cap of 25 and you can discover abilities to change your class: Tanking Warlocks, Healing Mages, and more! Season of Discovery launches November 30

Diablo IV - What's Next
For Diablo 4 there is a lot of new stuff and a lot the developers have to make up for and it feels like with the campfire chat they are continuing to be on the right path with more quality-of-life changes to the current season such as getting to 100 40% faster and more.
The next chapter in the Diablo 4 story has also been revealed with the announcement of the first expansion Vessel of Hatred coming out in late 2024 and the Campaign focuses on the fate of Mephisto in the new region of Torajan Jungle.

Hearthstone - What's Next
Hearthstone is coming out with the next expansion called Showdown in the badlands and will include:
- Catch Up Packs look at the past 5 expansions to see how many cards of those you have in your collection, and give you cards based on the % missing.
- Everyone gets 2 free Catch Up packs, and there's more of them in the Blizzcon bundle AND the Showdown in the Badlands Pre-Orders.
- Cards with the Excavate keyword give you a Treasure when played. Each time you Excavate, you get a Treasure from the tier you’re on, and then you progress to the next tier.
- Duos mode won't be released till somewhere 2024.
- During a Duo both have your own board and Tavern Tier and gold, but share health pool AND armor.
- You can pass cards to your Duo partner for a gold.
Overwatch 2 - What's Next
Overwatch 2 has three new heroes coming up and more in the works the first one being Mauga as the next Tank hero, Venture as the next Damage hero and Space Ranger (codename) as the new Support hero. There will also be changes to Competitive as well as a new game mode called Clash that will include a long missed map of Hanamura called Hanaoka
