Factionless in transformation

Factionless is transforming into A New Dawn, which will be the future of our community. The change is due to Factionless over the years not working out for us, and based on our own research and experience with other communities on a similar topic, our name might be the issue. We hope that with a fresh start with a new name and a revised aim and focus, we can restore our Discord Community to glory.

A New Dawn in the making

We hit the reset button and got rid of many inactive members after talking with them, and we were basically ignored. Getting rid of members is not something we take lightly and not something we do often, but for a community to be involved and grow, it is a sad step we have to take to secure a future for the community.

Revisiting the foundation

Factionless was built upon the foundation of unity and companionship at a time when many servers looked at their members as numbers and not people. It came to be that many people felt overlooked and not fitting in as they could maybe not keep up with the chat or were just different and often found themselves bullied or harassed. Factionless was made as sanctuary, especially for those with mental health struggles, to have a place where we would feel safe and where there would be like-minded and supportive people. These are values that we feel are essential to our community and is something that we will not change. We will however focus on our approach and hope to collaborate with our members into making A New Dawn something that people regardless of background can feel safe and want to be part of.

Lack of Activity

One of our core problems and remaining problems is the lack of activity. Where we would like to see a connection and companionship it feels like it's a very few number of our members that feel like being part of that. We want to explore our options by hosting events. Run Discord activities together and otherwise see what options we have.

Feedback is the key

Factionless nor A New Dawn has ever been about the will of the owner to make the server after her image. No the vision has always been about the members and what they would like to see as part of the community as we evolve for a community is not a community without the members which is why feedback, suggestions and so on is something we look up to in high regards.
